So every year, Thomas's grandparents hold a family campout up at their property in Mountain Green. This year, we watched "Where Eagles Dare" and it was a really good movie (even though it was made like 20ish years ago and some of the special effects were more hilarious than cool) and we had a relay race. Thomas and I got put in charge of this and we had a lot of fun putting it together.
This pic is of Thomas backing a fourwheeler into the garbage can. He was supposed to touch the can without knocking the ball off..... he was successful!
After this, someone had to get 3 points playing horseshoes. Then we played a ping pong/volleyball type game, but with pieces of cardboard as paddles. You have to travel down a line while you are volleying (sp?).
This is me and Aunt Patti playing....
We didn't get very far... ha ha ha ha ha
The next phase involved the younger kids and they had to get 3 points playing ladderball. There was also a bean bag toss and a toilet paper roll hiking task, but I didn't get pics.
After cup-stacking and moving m&m's with a straw, there was the 'move an oreo down your face without your hands' task. I can attest to how hard it is!
Team Pic
Winning Team Pic.... not at all boasting about it right? And of course Thomas is in the winning group :)
After all the games, everyone got a balloon rocket, lined up and let them go. The goal is to catch yours once it deflates and comes back down....
Can you guess who caught his???
:)
Group pic before everyone left.
We had an absolute blast and look forward to the next event. Thanks Gma and Gpa Richins for putting this together!
